In 1662, mathematics professor Christopher Wren asked Elizabeth Wilbraham to train him in architecture. Later when Wren was in practice, whenever he had too much to do he would turn work over to her; hence, she designed twenty-five of “Wren’s” fifty-two London churches. Elizabeth Wilbraham also introduced Christopher Wren to Gian Lorenzo Bernini in Paris in 1665.
