Unfortunately for them, the portal was sabotaged by Sabre and Rainbow Steve, who ambush the group before Rainbow Steve destroys the Darkness to confront Reverse Steve. Later on, Sabre and Rainbow Steve find that more of the Darkness have emerged from the giant portal and are now guarding it, forcing Sabre and Rainbow Steve to summon Galaxy Steve to assist them.
